Morning Citrus Shock juice recipe

I love my juices and have been having a lot this summer- I figured I should share some of my favourite recipes. Here’s one to put a spring into your step in the morning (also jampacked with nutrients, especially vitamin C).

Juice

Ingredients
4 peeled seedless oranges
2 pitted apricots
1 chopped and deseeded orange capsicum pepper
squeeze fresh lemon
squeeze fresh lime

Blend all fruit and pepper together and pour in a jug- add a squeeze of lemon and lime juice. Tastes great!

I am introducing more capsicums into my diet as they are supposed to be high in carotenoids and provitamins, they are believed to offer protection from cancer (contain capsaicin) and is full of anti-inflammatory properties.

Some nice variations of this juice can be made using mangoes and pineapples. And a yummy green smoothie can be made by adding a few leaves of spinach- or a handful of parsley. Tweak it to suit your tastes.
