i used 2 blocks of brun henna to 1 block of red..and it came out marvellously a more vibrant, enhanced brown..i have dark brown hair and the colour was far from orangey..i added a small tea spoon of coffee to the hot water and a half a tea spoon of lemon juice...trust me that is all u need...xx

Hi Liv. Henna can't lighten your hair and Marron may add red tones which isn't what you're after. Maybe Brun would be a better colour (though perhaps a little dark). Brewed coffee works to make hair browner but it's better to choose the henna that is most similar to your ideal hair colour. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the great tips! Questions for you: if I try chestnut Marron, will it make my dyed brown hair a little lighter? Also, what do u mean by "fresh coffee?" is that instant coffee that you make already done and add it or do u need brewed? (I don't want red in my hair as I already have a touch of that. Trying to go for an Angelina Jolie brown...) lol
